Initially called the Coraopolis Cancer Support Group, we were renamed the Carol Faulkner Williams (CFW) Cancer Support Group after our founder Carol Faulkner Williams passed away in January 2022.  Carol was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010.  She went through chemotherapy and radiation with her family by her side and eventually beat cancer.  Carol was a caregiver for her brother who died of lung cancer and a supporter of another brother who beat prostate cancer.  Carol understood the toll this disease took on the patient, family, and caregivers because she held each of these roles.  Over the years, she felt a strong calling to inspire, educate and support other cancer patients, caregivers, and families dealing with cancer treatment and the after affects.   Which has become the mission statement for this group.  Her vision is finally moving into action.
